Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an all-natural, drug free therapy yielding no side effects except feelings of relaxation and well-being. It is applied with used once and then discarded sterile needles. Due to their tiny size (a little larger than a cat’s whisker or human hair), most people feel no pain as the needles are inserted. During the treatment, patients may experience a vague numbness, heaviness, tingling, a dull ache, or even the “Qi” sensation that feels like energy spreading and moving around the needle. All these reactions are a sign that the treatment is working. After the treatment, patients may feel energized, comfort, and tranquility.

These have been shown in a variety of clinical settings to be beneficial in the process of detoxification from substance abuse as well as to help with the emotional, physical, and psychological attributes involved in addictions.
Ear Acupuncture
Ear acupuncture is used for prevention and treatment of disease and also for acupuncture anesthesia.
Diseases of various parts of the body can be addressed by needling the corresponding ear point, which promote Qi and blood in the channels, collaterals, and the Zang Fu organs.

Herbs
Herbs are an integral part of Chinese medicine treatments. We use herbs to correct internal deficiencies and eliminate harmful substances that accumulate pathologically. Just like Acupuncture, herbal therapy allows the body to restore it’s natural balance and adjust smoothly environmental changes.
As a general rule, herbal therapy should not interact with any of your pharmaceutical medications. We use minimal doses that are safe and effective. Herbs may be dispensed as granules, pills, powders, or tinctures. You can expect fast results with no side effects. Your formula will typically last 4-5 days. You should plan to see your physician for a followup within 10 days of your first herbal formula to discuss your progress and make any necessary adjustments.
